Out on a qualifier

I’m out sailing, and while I’m the only one allowed on the boat you can come along for the ride too. Using a SPOT tracker, I have created a page that is linked in the upper right corner of the homepage that will automatically update with my position as I sail from Pornichet to Ireland, to La Rochelle and back.

If you are, or know of anyone who is particularly keen on knowing where your significant other is at all times, suggest to them that they take up ocean racing they will share with all and sundry their position at all times. OK, so being at sea and crossing the Channel involves serious sleep deprivation and playing chicken with Greek container ships but at least you know where I am!

Check back for updates when I get back, hopefully I’ll have some good stories.

Ever since American GI’s came back from the war from torrid adventures with liberated housewives the world has always looked to the French to see what is chic and sexy. Indeed the the [...]
