Cessna
Cessna Aircraft Company is the leading designer and manufacturer of light and midsize business jets, utility turboprops and single engine aircraft, having sold and delivered more aircraft than anyone else in history – 190,000 and counting. Today, with 8,500-plus dedicated employees worldwide and billions of dollars in orders for some of the world’s most advanced aircraft, the future of our company and our customers is even brighter than our lustrous past.
Mark Blomfield (M.B. Aviacion) has been the Authorised Sales Representative for Cessna Citation and Caravan aircraft in Spain and Europe. His early childhood in Auckland, New Zealand provided his introduction to sailing which has become a lifelong interest. There are many people who are interested in both of the technologies of aircraft and sailing dynamics.
Mark Blomfield explains why he decided to invest in the project: “We are sponsoring the Cessna boat to improve the Spanish and also global awareness of Cessna’s interest in the subject of ocean racing. We want our current and potential customers to be able to actively participate with Conrad and Hugo during the race with the aid of modern telecommunications and even follow the strategies dictated by weather predictions and how their progress can be optimised with such sophistocated software.”
