With no transatlantic race on the calendar, the 2010 Mini season is short and sharp and jammed with events from April to August. The highlight of the season is the “Les Sables- Acores- Les Sables” a return race from famous Vendeé Globe port Les Sables d’Olonne to Horta in the Azores Islands and back. More than 1,200 miles each way, the race has a fearsome reputation as half of the skippers abandoned when a series of Atlantic depressions rolled across the fleet.
